Chinese manufacturing behemoth, Xiaomi, has officially announced that it will reveal new smartphones on March 29th. The brand will officially launch the Xiaomi Mi 11 Pro and Xiaomi Mi 11 Ultra. If we recall, back in December, Xiaomi introduced the Mi 11 as its first flagship smartphone for the 2021 period. the brand opted for a December launch to be the first company using Snapdragon 888 SoC. As a flagship lineup, this handset can not be alone in the lineup. After the official confirmation of the launch even date, more report about these phones continues to hit the internet.

Today, Xiaomi’s official Weibo account published a poster that teases the Xiaomi Mi 11 Ultra camera hardware. The poster reveals the world’s first Samsung ISOCELL GN2 CMOS image sensor, with a 1/1.12″ inch optical format. Well, the Xiaomi Mi 11 Ultra will be the first flagship smartphone to use this image sensor. Each pixel of 50-megapixel spans 1.4μm, which is an unprecedented 2.8μm after fusion. It also premieres the Dual-Phase Detection Pro full pixel omnidirectional 8-core focusing.

Xiaomi officially defines the camera system of the Mi 11 Ultra as the “war of the turning point”. This time, it is “revisiting the boundary of the dark night”. This indicates that the new handset should have a very good night camera performance.


From previous leaks & reports, the Xiaomi Mi 11 Ultra will utilize Samsung’s ISOCELL GN2 sensor for the main camera. The main camera on the rear is 50Megapixel. It also has 48MP wide-angle and 48MP zoom snapper. it will run MIUI 12.5 based on the Android 11 Operating System.

From the images, the Mi 11 Pro Plus has a rear dual-outsole main camera & a 120x periscope lens. The secondary display can produce screen mapping. As for the specific use of the secondary rear display, we do not have any information. But, we are convinced that it will help in taking selfies.

The Mi 11 Pro Plus (or Mi 11 Ultra) should feature a 6.8-inch quad-curved AMOLED panel with a resolution of WQHD+. It utilizes an adaptive refresh rate of 120Hz as well as a 20MP for the front camera. This smartphone uses the protection of a Corning Gorilla Glass.
