At last, POCO has taken its wraps off the secret that has been wandering on the web. The brand has set March 22th as the launch date for the global markets and it's anticipated to be the POCO X3 Pro and POCO F3 or POCO F3 Pro.

In an official tweet, POCO Global stated that the event is going to be the largest launch of POCO in 2021. With a punchline, “When Power Meets Speed”, the announcement poster says an Online launch event will be held on March 22 at 20:00 GMT+08:00.

Like as always you can expect the brand to stream it on the official social network channels like Twitter, YouTube, and Facebook. Talking about the launch, the brand hasn’t yet confirmed the naming of the device that is coming next Monday. However, rumors say that it is the POCO X3 Pro.

A few days ago, leak star Mukul Sharma announced that POCO is bringing two devices Globally and there are high possibilities that the second device is POCO F3/POCO F3 Pro. It's said to be a rebrand version of the Redmi K40 devices from China. Last year, POCO brought the POCO F2 Pro to the Global markets on May 12 which was a rebranded version of the Redmi K30 Pro.

Nonetheless, Manufacturers have been preponing their launches in 2021, and giants like Samsung, Xiaomi, OPPO, VIVO have already unveiled their flagships a bit early. Therefore, there are opportunities that POCO might do the same to bid its 2021 flagship POCO F3/F3 Pro right on the lines of its adversaries.

Rumored claims that the phone will be powered by the Snapdragon 860 chipset. We’ve been listening about this particular chip since last year, but Qualcomm has not revealed it yet. However, the presence of a Snapdragon 870 gives a little more coherence to the existence of a Snapdragon 860. Using older Snapdragon chips is a tactic that many brands are utilizing to bring cost-effective flagships. Qualcomm is amply aware of this and the Snapdragon 870, or Snapdragon 860, looks to be good ways to satisfy the demand for affordable flagships. With the 'so-called' Snapdragon 860 SoC, POCO could give a Snapdragon 800-series smartphone priced under $300. That would be amazing at this point.

Other rumors imply that the POCO X3 Pro will come in two variants, 6GB+128GB and 8GB+256GB Memory configurations. It will have the 120Hz screen of its predecessor, and considering the price point, it should be an IPS LCD. The large 5,200mAh battery will be present in the package with 33W fast-charging support. Based on the certifications it got, the phone is not a 5G handset, which suggests that the Snapdragon 860 has a 4G modem and should be a renewed Snapdragon 855.

Amidst the semiconductor chips shortages crisis, it makes absolute sense for Qualcomm to renew some of its chips to clean the stocks and keep supplying the smartphone market.

Besides, POCO is also reviling the device in India on March 30, after a week of the Global launch. Stay tuned for more official teasers in the coming days.
