POCO is all-set to unveil its new devices. They announced the launch date which is March 22 for the global & 30th for the Indian market. POCO has not precisely revealed how many handsets we will see however we are anticipating seeing two new POCO smartphones. There are high possibilities that the one device is POCO F3/POCO F3 Pro. It's said to be a rebrand version of the Redmi K40 devices from China. While the other one should be a brand-new POCO X3 Pro. The renders of POCO X3 Pro have been leaked by leakstar Ishan Agarwal. Sadly, the renders didn’t surprise me. Well, have a look for yourself.

Doesn’t it look identical to the POCO X3? Yup, the controversial design language of POCO X3 is not going anywhere. Rather, it will be utilized on the Pro variant as well. Many folks don't like the camera module of POCO X3. Plus, the big POCO branding is not appealing to everybody. Regrettably, these things still exist on the POCO X3 Pro. Anyways, if the phone gives value, then we can consider the design. There is little to nothing information about the upcoming handsets which we get from the renders.

1. A NEW COLOR variant

The freshly launched Redmi Note 10 series presented a Bronze color option. Which in my opinion it just looks amazing. Well, the renders imply this color option will be available on the X3 Pro as well. It looks more moderate than the bronze color of Note 10 Pro but still looks premium. According to the reports, this color will be called Metal Bronze. While, the other two choices are Frost Blue, and Phantom Black.

2. 48MP QUAD-CAMERA module

The camera module looks exactly as on the POCO X3. But if you zoom very closely, you'll see the branding “48MP AI Super Camera” on top of the camera setup. Leaks also implied that this phone will feature a 48MP primary sensor. The thing to notice is that the base POCO X3 has a 64MP primary camera. Well, we still don’t have any idea regarding which sensor is exactly used on the X3 Pro. But I think it will be a high-end 48MP sensor.

Rumored claims that the phone will be powered by the Snapdragon 860 chipset. We’ve been listening about this particular chip since last year, but Qualcomm has not revealed it yet. However, the presence of a Snapdragon 870 gives a little more coherence to the existence of a Snapdragon 860. Using older Snapdragon chips is a tactic that many brands are utilizing to bring cost-effective flagships. Qualcomm is amply aware of this and the Snapdragon 870, or Snapdragon 860, looks to be good ways to satisfy the demand for affordable flagships. With the 'so-called' Snapdragon 860 SoC, POCO could give a Snapdragon 800-series smartphone priced under $300. That would be amazing at this point.

Other rumors imply that the POCO X3 Pro will come in two variants, 6GB+128GB and 8GB+256GB Memory configurations. It will have the 120Hz screen of its predecessor, and considering the price point, it should be an IPS LCD. The large 5,200mAh battery will be present in the package with 33W fast-charging support. Based on the certifications it got, the phone is not a 5G handset, which suggests that the Snapdragon 860 has a 4G modem and should be a renewed Snapdragon 855.

Amidst the semiconductor chips shortages crisis, it makes absolute sense for Qualcomm to renew some of its chips to clean the stocks and keep supplying the smartphone market.

Besides, POCO is also reviling the device in India on March 30, after a week of the Global launch. Stay tuned for more official teasers in the coming days.
